As fashions and styles change and garments that were last seasons HOT numbers are relegated to the What’s Not side of the wardrobe – do not despair. More often than not the garments and outfits in
question can be remodeled to stay up to date and look as if they were bought only yesterday.
The most common remodeling is performed on jackets and the classic revamp would be taking an older boxy style jacket, that you now think makes you look like a gridiron player and making it a stylish more fitting style of jacket. Another common remodeling involves skirts and/or dresses, by changing the lengths and finetuning the shaping the look of the garment can be remodeled for dramatic results.

Our highly experienced team provides a wealth of expertise when it comes to bridal and wedding dress alterations. By appointment we can offer a large private fitting room to allow the entire bridal party to be part of the fitting experience.
“Your Place”, as the name suggests is designed to provide added convenience, privacy and efficiency by providing a first-class fitting service within the comfort and familiarity of your home or work place.

One of our senior consultants will be in-touch to make the necessary arrangements, payment can be made by either credit card or internet banking. On completion your garments will be returned in a custom designed full-length protective bag by one of our in-house couriers.
Please note: As this is a premium service there will be a surcharge of 25% on the standard alterations charges with a minimum surcharge per call-out of $60 ($120 outside of usual business hours) to cover the associated vehicle costs and travelling time. This service is restricted to an approx area within a 10km driving distance of our site at 276 Manukau Road, Epsom.
Over the years we have provided special services for many groups, including sports and corporate groups. For group situations we can provide an on-site fitting service and if required a very rapid turn-around. We have also provided on-site fitting and rapid turn around for a number of visiting international sports teams, and no we have not influenced any sporting outcomes, however, with some strategically placed pins I am sure we could have an influence. For trouser and jeans shortening we provide a while-you-wait service. This service, dependent on the individual job and the workload at the time typically take between 10 and 30 minutes to complete. During your wait you are welcome to a complimentary coffee, tea or hot chocolate and to peruse the latest magazines that we offer for your reading pleasure in our reception.
When the unfortunate occurs and a garment is torn, ripped or damaged. Often the immediate thought is that the garment is relegated to that of an “around the house” or “gardening” type of garment. If the garment was originally an expensive item, is a favorite or is part of a suit or outfit then mending is often a very practical alternative. We can provide two methods of repair, firstly a machine repair that will prevent the damage from spreading, however the result is normally very obvious and not suited to “Sunday best”. The other option is fine mending. As the name suggests fine mending is just that and depending on the type of fabric and location of the damage is often a very satisfactory method of repair.
The costs and time associated with fine mending means that work is typically not undertaken until the job is quoted. We will also do our best to give an indication of how successful the different methods of repair will be, however given the nature of the work we cannot always be sure of the success prior to starting the process.
Please note: In the unfortunate situation that there is no satisfactory method of repair then we are happy to provide an insurance quote to facilitate a claim to be made on your personal home and contents insurance.
If you are purchasing clothing online we can take away the headaches and stress. Just use Rose’s Alterations as your delivery address, our extended opening hours means delivery will not be delayed or your consignment left unattended.
On receipt of your consignment we will photograph the packaging and then unpack the items, if required we can also provide a complimentary light steam press.
We will advise when your garments have arrived and include photos and any relevant comments. You can then either collect your garments or have a fitting, to ensure the perfect fit, at your convenience.
Please note that if a full press or any cleaning is required this would be chargeable. Any alterations and tailoring undertaken would also be chargeable.

We are able to offer an amazing repair service for knitwear. Don’t let a hole or tear in a knitted garment make you think the garment can
no longer look its best. We are always happy to offer quotes before any jobs are started.
We offer a full-service Wholesale Division providing a pickup and delivery across Auckland. This allows you to offer the highest standards of tailoring/repairs etc without adding significant time or costs associated with using regular courier services.
We also provide in-store training for our Wholesale customers to ensure the alterations requested are inline with our internal best practices – this minimizes any confusion and ensures your staff are properly trained in providing tailoring/alteration services.
We utilize industry leading technology to ensure that your garments are tracked throughout our production and delivery processes and that full accountability is ensured in every facet of your garments process with us.

Leather and Suede as well as some other very heavy types of materials require specialist knowledge and equipment. We are able to undertake most alterations to leather and suede garments.
We provide a top quality dressmaking service through our “Rose’s Couture” label. Our dressmaker can make outfits using patterns supplied by yourself or in conjunction with our Pattern Drafting service we can make outfits from existing garments or even your own designs. We pride ourselves in providing the highest standard of workmanship and no corners are cut to ensure a finish of the highest standard. Patterns can be drafted using anything from an idea, a picture, or an existing garment. Whether it be the creation of a fabulous outfit you have designed or a minor alteration to a pattern you already have,
